Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter , softened
  • 1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese , softened
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon clear vanilla extract

Instructions:

Step 1

In small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. In large bowl, beat butter, cream cheese, sugar and vanilla with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Stir in flour mixture 1/2 cup at a time, blending well after each addition. Dough will be soft and slightly elastic. Form dough into 2 disks, about 1 in. thick; wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm enough to roll.

Step 2

Use dough to prepare Kolackys, Pineapple Empanadas or Chocolate Triangle Tarts
